Privacy Policy
Hangman game apps · Android and iOS · Last updated: 28 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use our Hangman word-guessing
games and how it is used. It applies to all editions of the game, including
Hangman: Movies, Hangman: Animals, Hangman: Books,
Learn English, and Learn Spanish (Ahorcado), on both Android and iOS.
Where the platforms differ, both are described below.
Who we are
These apps are published by the developer of the Hangman game series ("we", "us").
For any privacy question you can contact us at
akumayken@gmail.com.
Information collected
We do not ask you to create an account or provide your name, email, or contact details to play.
The apps use the following third-party services, which may collect data automatically:
-
Advertising — Google AdMob. We show ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may use your
device's advertising identifier and approximate, non-precise information to serve and measure
ads. In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland we show a Google-certified consent
form (User Messaging Platform) before any personalized ads are served, and ads are limited to a
"General audiences" (G) content rating. On iOS the system also asks for your permission to
track before any personalized ad is requested (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline,
the identifier is not used to track you and you will still see ads, but non-personalized ones.
-
Analytics — Google Firebase Analytics. Collects anonymous usage and device
information (e.g. app screens visited, session length, device model, OS version, general region)
to help us understand how the game is used and improve it.
-
Crash reporting — Firebase Crashlytics. If the app crashes, technical
information about the crash and the device state at that moment is collected so we can fix bugs.
-
Leaderboards, achievements and saved progress. Signing in is optional on both
platforms, and the service used depends on the platform.
-
Android — Google Play Games Services. Google provides us a player
identifier used for leaderboards and achievements, and stores your saved-game progress in
your Google account so it can sync across devices.
-
iOS — Apple Game Center and iCloud. Apple provides a player identifier
used for leaderboards and achievements. Your game progress is stored in your own private
iCloud database: it syncs across your devices, and we cannot read it.
-
Purchases. If you buy an in-app item (such as removing ads or a coin pack),
the payment is handled entirely by the app store — Google Play Billing on Android, Apple's
App Store on iOS. We receive confirmation of the purchase but never your card or
payment-account details.
How the information is used
- To display and measure advertising that keeps the app free.
- To understand usage and improve gameplay and content.
- To diagnose and fix crashes and technical problems.
- To provide leaderboards, achievements, and cross-device saved progress when you sign in.
- To process and restore in-app purchases.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Data is processed by the Google services listed above
under Google's own privacy terms. See
Google's Privacy Policy
and, for advertising,
how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Your choices and rights
-
You can reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings — on Android under
Google → Ads, on iOS under Settings → Privacy & Security →
Tracking, where you can also withdraw tracking permission from the app at any time.
- In the EEA/UK/Switzerland you can change your ad-consent choices at any time from within the app's consent options.
-
Signing in for leaderboards is optional. You may opt out of Google Play Games and delete
saved-game data from your Google account, or on iOS sign out of Game Center and delete the
app's iCloud data from Settings → Apple Account → iCloud.
-
Depending on your region, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, or to
object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at
akumayken@gmail.com.
How to request deletion of your data
This section applies to all editions of the Hangman game listed above
(Hangman: Movies, Hangman: Animals, Hangman Books Edition,
Hangman English Edition, and Ahorcado del Español), published by Aku.
To request that your data is deleted, follow these steps:
-
Send an email to akumayken@gmail.com with the subject
line
Data deletion request.
-
In the message, state which app you are writing about, and — if you signed in
for leaderboards — the Google account (Android) or Apple Account
(iOS) you used, so we can identify the records to delete.
-
We will confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days, then email
you to confirm it is done.
What is deleted:
-
Any saved-game data and leaderboard/achievement entries associated with your account — held in
Google Play Games on Android, or Game Center and your private iCloud database on iOS.
- Analytics and crash records associated with your app instance.
What is kept, and for how long:
-
Purchase records are retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires
(typically up to 5 years). These are held by Google Play or Apple, not by us,
and cannot be deleted on request.
-
Aggregated, anonymous statistics that can no longer be linked to you or your
device may be retained indefinitely.
You can also delete data yourself at any time without contacting us: uninstalling the
app removes all locally stored progress, coins and statistics from your device. On
Android you can delete saved games from your Google account at
play.google.com/games
(Settings → Delete Play Games account data). On iOS you can delete the app's stored data
from Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Children
These apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from children. Advertising is restricted to a General-audiences (G) content rating.
Data retention
Analytics and crash data are retained by Google for the periods described in Google's policies.
Saved-game data persists until you delete it — in your Google account on Android, and in your
private iCloud database on iOS.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most
recent version.
